WHAT ARE WE?
Antisemitism Watch is a nonpartisan 509(a)(2) public charity. Our goal is to combat antisemitism by exposing groups and individuals who espouse and engage in incitement and hatred towards Jewish people. A major part of our mission is developing curricula programs from middle school through university to address the historical and sociological biases that are widespread in many public and private schools, and which perpetrate prejudicial and false stereotypes of Jews. Without a balanced curriculum model, the educational facilities in the U.S. and many other countries will continue to produce generations of antisemites and anti-Israel zealots.
Also, Antisemitism Watch will collaborate with journalists who are researching stories about anti-Jewish hatred. We are developing a division to lobby public officials for legislation and executive actions that will help mitigate the surge in anti-Jewish hate.
Every contribution goes first to the executing our mission. All of us at Antisemitism Watch are volunteers.
WHY NOW?
For 6 years we have monitored antisemitism at No.Antisemitism, a Facebook page that chronicles daily incidents of Jewish hate around the world. We watched with alarm as antisemitic acts of hate and violence increased steadily each year, breaking records in many countries in 2021, only to be shattered again in 2022. Anti-Jewish violence reached new highs in the U.S., Canada, and across Europe. Antisemitism at leading universities is rampant, both among faculty and students. Criticism of Israel is often used as a cover for hatred against Jewish people. We believe there is a need for a nonpartisan organization with laser focus only on antisemitism. Read about why we believe some mainstream Jewish organizations, whose mission is to combat antisemitism, are too selective in what they decide to fight as anti-Jewish hatred.
